Best Dynamo Build & Guide (2026) — Deadlock

Saturday, March 21, 2026 · 8 min read

Dynamo is Deadlock's most impactful support hero. His kit combines powerful AoE healing, disruptive crowd control, and one of the best ultimates in the game — a black hole that pulls entire teams to their doom. Whether you're picking him up for the first time or looking to optimize your ranked build, this guide covers everything you need to dominate with Dynamo in 2026.

Dynamo Overview

Dynamo excels as a teamfight-defining support who keeps his team alive while locking down enemies at the perfect moment. His Rejuvenating Aurora sustains entire pushes, Kinetic Pulse disrupts enemy formations with a knockup, and Singularity can single-handedly win fights by pulling the entire enemy team into a death ball. He's consistently S-tier because his utility never falls off, regardless of the meta.

Strengths

  • Best AoE healing in the game with Rejuvenating Aurora sustaining entire teamfights
  • Fight-winning ultimate — Singularity pulls and holds enemies for devastating follow-up
  • Strong crowd control with Kinetic Pulse knockup and slow
  • Unique team mobility through Quantum Entanglement's ally teleport

Weaknesses

  • Low solo kill pressure — two of his four abilities don't deal damage
  • Singularity is interruptible by CC, Curse, and Knockdown items
  • Limited escape options — Quantum Entanglement is slow and telegraphed
  • Weak early laning before spirit items amplify his healing and damage

Ability Priority

  1. Kinetic Pulse — Max this first. Your primary poke and disruption tool. Each rank increases the knockup damage and improves the slow and bullet damage amp on hit enemies, making it your strongest trading ability in lane and fights.
  2. Rejuvenating Aurora — Max second. The AoE heal is what makes Dynamo Dynamo. Higher ranks dramatically increase the healing per second for you and all nearby allies. You can dash and melee without breaking the channel, letting you stay mobile while healing.
  3. Quantum Entanglement — One early point for the repositioning utility, then max third. The brief teleport reloads your weapon and grants a fire rate bonus. The alt-cast brings nearby allies with you, giving your team unique rotation and escape options.
  4. Singularity (Ultimate) — Level whenever available. A black hole that pulls nearby enemies in and holds them for several seconds. Combined with your team's damage, a good Singularity wins teamfights outright.

Playstyle Tips

Laning Phase

Dynamo is a patient lane sustainer who wins through attrition. Use Kinetic Pulse to poke and last-hit from range — the knockup disrupts enemy positioning and the slow makes follow-up damage easy. Rejuvenating Aurora lets you out-sustain nearly any opponent in trades, so take favorable exchanges and heal back up while they can't.

Against aggressive melee heroes, use Kinetic Pulse knockup to create distance and heal through their damage. Against ranged heroes, trade abilities on cooldown and rely on your superior sustain to win the war of attrition. Don't overcommit for kills before Singularity — your early kill pressure is low.

Mid Game

This is where Dynamo becomes the team's engine. With Cold Front and Torment Pulse online, your teamfight contribution becomes massive. Stick with your team at all times — Dynamo alone is vulnerable, but Dynamo with teammates is unstoppable. Channel Rejuvenating Aurora during pushes and objective takes to keep everyone topped off. Save Singularity for teamfights where you can catch 2+ enemies.

The ideal teamfight sequence is: position behind your frontline, wait for the enemy team to clump, then Singularity to pull them together. Your team dumps damage into the black hole while you channel Rejuvenating Aurora to keep everyone alive through the counter-damage.

Late Game

Late-game Dynamo is a teamfight god. With Unstoppable online, your Singularity becomes nearly impossible to interrupt. Boundless Spirit supercharges both your healing and your damage, while Escalating Exposure makes every enemy caught in your abilities take amplified damage from your entire team. Position aggressively for Singularity — you want to catch as many enemies as possible. Use Quantum Entanglement to reposition into flanking angles for surprise black holes.

Your biggest impact comes from patience. Don't panic-ult on one enemy. Wait for the 3-4 person Singularity that wins the fight. Use Ethereal Shift if you get focused after channeling, and trust your healing to keep your team alive through extended engagements.

Matchups

Favorable

  • Abrams — Kinetic Pulse interrupts his Shoulder Charge, and Singularity holds him in place while your team shreds him
  • Shiv — Your healing out-sustains his damage, and Singularity punishes his dive-heavy playstyle
  • Mo & Krill — Your CC chain and healing counter their predictable engage pattern; they can't burst through your sustain

Even

  • Bebop — Both are utility-heavy; his hook creates picks, your Singularity creates teamfight wins. Comes down to execution
  • Lady Geist — Her drain pressures you, but your heal matches her sustain in extended fights; skill-dependent
  • Kelvin — Both tanky supports with CC; the fight comes down to who times their abilities better

Unfavorable

  • Haze — Her burst can kill you during Singularity channel, and her mobility makes her hard to catch in the black hole
  • McGinnis — Turrets zone you out of Singularity range; she outpaces your healing with sustained damage
  • Wraith — She outscales you and can burst you from range before you can channel your abilities
