Best Wraith Build & Guide (2026) — Deadlock

Saturday, March 21, 2026 · 8 min read

Wraith is Deadlock's high-mobility weapon carry. She teleports into position, shreds targets with boosted fire rate, and displaces enemies with telekinetic force. Whether you're picking her up for the first time or looking to optimize your ranked build, this guide covers everything you need to dominate with Wraith in 2026.

Wraith Overview

Wraith operates as a weapon-scaling DPS carry who excels at repositioning aggressively and gunning down targets with enhanced fire rate. Card Trick deals weapon damage to summon cards of random suits that can be thrown for different effects — giving her versatile utility on top of her raw DPS. Project Mind teleports Wraith to a targeted location and can be upgraded to provide a protective barrier on arrival, enabling aggressive flanks or clean escapes. Full Auto temporarily boosts her fire rate and deals bonus spirit damage per shot, while nearby allies receive half the fire rate bonus — making it a powerful team steroid in fights. Her ultimate Telekinesis lifts an enemy hero into the air and slams them toward a target location, dealing damage and applying a slow — a devastating displacement tool for isolating priority targets or peeling for your team. She rewards players with strong aim and aggressive positioning.

Strengths

  • Exceptional DPS output with Full Auto making her one of the highest sustained damage dealers in the game
  • Strong mobility through Project Mind enabling aggressive teleport flanks and safe repositioning
  • Versatile utility from Card Trick's random suit effects adding crowd control and supplemental damage
  • Powerful displacement ultimate — Telekinesis isolates key targets and sets up kills for the entire team

Weaknesses

  • Aim-dependent — Full Auto's value is directly tied to landing shots, making her punishing for players with inconsistent aim
  • Card Trick is random — suit effects can't be reliably planned around, sometimes giving suboptimal cards
  • Squishy carry — without Project Mind available, Wraith has no survivability tools and melts under focus
  • Telekinesis is single-target — unlike AoE ultimates, it only removes one enemy from the fight at a time

Ability Priority

Full Auto > Telekinesis (Ult) > Card Trick > Project Mind

Max Full Auto first — the fire rate and spirit damage scaling per level is massive and directly amplifies your DPS output. Take Telekinesis upgrades whenever available for increased slam damage and duration. Card Trick second for improved card damage and effects. Project Mind last since the base teleport range is sufficient and upgrades are less impactful than raw damage.

Playstyle Tips

Early Game (Laning Phase)

Focus on last-hitting efficiently and trading with Full Auto when the enemy steps forward. Wraith's enhanced fire rate wins most 1v1 auto-attack trades in lane. Use Card Trick cards to poke and apply random effects for supplemental pressure. Save Project Mind defensively for gank escapes — you're too fragile early to use it aggressively. Build up your weapon items and hit the mid-game power spike where Wraith truly comes alive.

Mid Game (Rotations)

Wraith becomes extremely dangerous once Slowing Bullets and Close Quarters come online. Use Project Mind to teleport to flanking angles, activate Full Auto, and shred through a priority target before they can react. The combo of teleport into point-blank Full Auto with Slowing Bullets is nearly impossible to survive for squishy heroes. Use Telekinesis to isolate key targets from their team or peel for yourself if dived.

Late Game (Teamfights)

With Glass Cannon and Shadow Weave, Wraith's kill speed is unmatched. Stealth into position, teleport to an aggressive angle, and Full Auto the enemy carry. Telekinesis their support or peeler away so nobody can save your target. Leech keeps you healthy through return fire, and Unstoppable ensures no stun can shut down your damage window. In teamfights, wait for your frontline to engage before committing — your job is to melt the backline, not lead the charge.
